The following topics are particularly suited for Bachelor's students, who have chosen filosofia or filologia as second subject, since they require wide knowledge about semantic and historic contexts, as well as linguistic sensitivity (like recognizing connotation or implications).

  • Revise the keyword vocabulary of the DABI-Database
    The bibliografic database DABI consists of more than 8000 catalogue entries, that are indexed with about 12000 different keywords. This vocabulary has to be examined strictly, the means of vocabulary revision shall be analised regarding to their applicability and the DABI-vocabulary shall be revised by these or own means - preferably semi-automatically. If you want to apply for this topic, you should have some previous knowledge about MySQL and at least one programming language. You also should have compleded the module "Infomation Databases" (Informationsdatenbanken).
