Research
Research activity at the Digital Libraries department focuses mainly on the evaluation of digital libraries and use studies, the latter being an important basis for technological innovation in the digital sector. Keystones are the analytical and methodological approach, the statistical evaluation and, moreover, legal aspects. In addition to this the members of the group engage in the matters of long term preservation and copyright law.
The Digital Libraries group maintains close collaborations with library-related institutes and LIS departments in both Germany and the United States.
