Professur für Information Management

 

Der Lehrstuhl Information Management erforscht die Rolle digitaler Forschungs- und Informationsinfrastrukturen in der Wissenschaft im Kontext der digitalen Transformation. Er konzentriert sich auf Informationsinfrastrukturen, die die Sammlung, Erschließung, Zugänglichmachung und Nachnutzung von Informationsobjekten im Sinne von Open Science ermöglichen. In Forschung, Lehre und Transfer werden Prozesse der digitalen Wissenschaftskommunikation und damit verbundene Praktiken, Standards und Policies betrachtet. Die Auseinandersetzung mit diesen Aspekten geschieht aus der Perspektive der Informations- und Bibliothekswissenschaft mit einem Schwerpunkt auf Bibliotheken, Rechenzentren und weiteren die Forschung unterstützenden Serviceeinrichtungen an wissenschaftlichen Institutionen.

The research and teaching group Information Management explores the role of digital research and information infrastructures in science in the context of digital transformation. The focus is on information infrastructures that enable the collection, indexing, accessibility and re-use of information objects for the purpose of Open Science. Research, teaching and transfer consider processes of digital scholarly communication and related practices, standards and policies. These aspects are addressed from the perspective of information and library science with a focus on libraries, computing centers and other service facilities supporting research at scientific organizations.
